The Royal Wedding!
I am glad the royal wedding is almost here. I really am tired of hearing about it. I mean I was curious as to why they do not get to kiss at the end of the vows for example, because there was a reason that I do not remember, and the technicalities. I think it was said that they do not kiss for some reason, whatever that was, and that it was a silly American tradition. But, as to what she is wearing and her bridesmaids are wearing does not really matter. I also do not care to know where they are honeymooning. It is too bad they can not just have fun and not worry about anyone trying to take their picture. They are Royalty, so I guess it is part of the sacrifice. While I was reading these technicalities, I read that they were going to share a kiss on the same balcony that Prince Williams parents did. It said that they have even practiced the event and they had to make sure it was shot from the right angle. I read it will happen at an exact time also. I read that she can not be addressed as Kate anymore, it was Catherine, or whatever the queen decided she would be called. I guess it is the price they pay. She knew what she was getting into when she started dating a prince. I did think it was nice that William was giving Kate his mother's ring. That is very special. I can not imagine how Kate must feel knowing that she will be wearing Princess Diana's ring. I can not help but think she will feel very humbled. Also, for William to be able to give her his mother's ring would be make him feel so proud I am sure. I am glad it was kept for him all these years. I read some scandal that Camilla was sneaked into Charles's room the night before he married Diana. They exchanged gifts. He was given cuff links that he reportedly wore on his honeymoon. What a sad story that was. I wonder if Charles and his family will feel awkward at the wedding knowing that all of Diana's family will be there. I also wonder how people can sleep at night knowing the sins they have committed. I guess those rules do not apply when you are Royalty.

You know a lot more about the Royal wedding than I do. I don't keep up to date with celebrity gossip (or in their case Royal gossip). I think Kate sure is pretty though, but that is to be expected marrying a prince and all. Hope he isn't a sleezeball like his dad-haha.
ReplyDeleteI have heard a lot about this "royal wedding" and I learned the most about it all from your blog. I am ready for it to be over! ha
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I was excited about the royal wedding, although, I do agree that the media has talked it to death, and I too was getting tired of hearing about it. I love history, and I know that royal weddings are always made to be a huge spectacle and nothing will be done to break tradition or offend the queen. I watched part of the wedding this morning, and it was a beautiful ceremony, but I’m not sure I would want my wedding to be a public display.
